BANDS AND SCHBEDULE

Netherlands-based crooner Ana Popovic can be best described not by genre or style label, but rather a single word ¡V "smoky." The electric singer takes sex, pain, soul, and fury and blends them into a raucous offering on her new record Blind for Love, a hazy, slithering sort of album that channels equal parts Bette Midler and Joss Stone. Yet this is no hybrid or fusion effort that hopes to lay pop over a jazzy musical skeleton; Blind for Love is true to a pure kind of soul, opting for a solid punch rather than radio-friendly flourishes or other inane filler.

TODD WOLFE BAND

Blues Leaf recording artist TODD WOLFE and band, plays aggressive and daring blues tinged jam-rock reminiscent of the bands of the sixties and seventies. Todd's band was formed following his five-year stint with Sheryl Crow as lead guitarist and occasional writing partner. Todd toured the world with Sheryl from 1993 until 1998 opening shows for the Rolling Stones, the Eagles, Bob Dylan, Elton John, and Page & Plant among others.

Now, with his newest band Todd Wolfe picks up where he left off 10 years ago with his original Bluesadelic-jamming sounds! "Borrowed Time", Todd’s fifth album just released by Blues Leaf Records in North America and soon to be released in Europe by Hypertension Music is mostly comprised of original songs including “California” a song that Todd wrote with Sheryl Crow. Also included on the upcoming release is “Baby I’m Down” a Felix Pappalardi song from the first Leslie West album “Mountain”.

SCOTT WEIS

Scott Weis has been surrounded by good fortune over the past 25 years, bringing his talents to various venues from the Beacon Theater, to outdoor festivals, and even Wimbley Stadium in Europe. Scott's professional stage presence has rocked audiences of all sizes and genres, reeling in fans world-wide to hear his unique style that has put a twist on the blues and shifted gears on the internet.

Robert Kopec, Acoustic and Electrical Bassist from Fair Oaks, New York, leads several groups and is an in-demand sideman. Kopec's resume is diverse to say the least, spanning from the age of 14 and expands to include being a member of Skid Row, and backing legendary Hennie Youngman.

SWEET SUZIE

If you've ever wondered what "New York blues" is all about, this is "IT"! The tough, “take that!” attitude of this band is addictive. Fronted by powerhouse vocalist, "Sweet" Suzi Smith, this band is known for its energetic and riveting live performances. Suzi's, sultry, yet powerful vocals are backed by a band of extremely soulful musicians, John Anderson (guitar), Chris "Chrispy Chicken" Laybourne (sax & keys), Tim Glum (bass) & Tom Foschino (drums). The band pulls from their roots in blues, funk, rock and jazz, which when fused together, form the complete blues experience. When these musical fronts align, the forecast is the “perfect storm of blues". Sweet Suzi and the band promise to stimulate every die hard blues fan who is tired of hearing the same old stuff. Their original music is raw and intense blues magic made up of guts, growl and sheer emotion…blues perfection!

The Fringe's humble beginnings start in Lackawaxen, PA in the early 80's by founding members Andrew Larkin and Clint Chappey. After several personnel changes, the band seemed to hit its stride in the mid 80's with Andrew Larkin (vocals & guitar) and two brothers; James (Pizza) DeFebo (bass guitar) and Chucky DeFebo (percussion & vocals). The band was known for its lead singer's gutsy, unique vocals, powerful guitar, and skillful ability to write original songs. This coupled with great stage presence and unusual cover songs, thoughtfully crafted and performed, gave this band an edge. The true statement of the band was when they were playing live, and the raw, unrelenting energy oozed from the band nightly.
