Forty and Bloated

Forty and Bloated is a group of high school friends that started out in the late 70's. The band was heavily influenced by Ozzy, Kiss, Van Halen, Motley Crue and Iron Maiden. Originally named Lead, the band played local shows and then after some member changes, became Magic in 1986. The band soon became a fixture at clubs like Studio One, L'Amours, China Club, The Showplace, The World Stage, Tradewinds, Cellblock, and many others.

By 1989, the band was playing regularly and opening for national acts such as Extreme, Kix, and LA Guns to name a few.

Unfortunately, by the end the 90's, the band came to a temporary stand still. The band played their last show in Asbury Park opening for Steelheart as everyone moved on with their lives.

The band has remained close friends all of these years and "became" Forty and Bloated, and continue to play today. Forty and Bloated features Joe Molinari on Guitar, Scott Schaefer on Bass, John Bialek on Drums, and Tom Hartos on Vocals.

Tom served in the United States Marine Corp from 1983-1987, worked as a cook in North Carolina, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Korea, & Hawaii, and was Honorably Discharged as a Corporal.
